WEBWAG ANNOUNCES A SEED FUNDING WITH A LEADING MOBILE OPERATOR
Webwag inks a seed funding round with the investment fund of the leading mobile operator SFR and the venture capital firm DigiTalents Capital
Paris, France –October 9th 2007 – Webwag announces today a seed funding round closed before last summer with two investors: SFR Dévelopment the investment fund of mobile operator SFR and DigiTalents Capital a venture capital fund.
Webwag confirms its leadership in the mobile widgets space and sees its web-mobile convergence strategy confirmed by the presence on board of a major mobile network operator.
Jean-François Caillard, Director of SFR Développement and Pierre Sapin, DigiTalents Capital, are elected board members of the company. Franck Poisson, CEO, says « We welcome our investor’s support and synergy with a great interest. Their experience in the mobile and web industries are strong assets for the Webwag’s convergence strategy »
The seed funding allows Webwag to accelerate its recruitments and deliver new major product releases on web and mobile. More than 5 millions widgets are installed and daily used on Webwag’s web and mobile convergence platform. The service is used in more than 100 countries.
