Developers, Webwag’s team has just published a brand new tutorial.
For the first time ever, you’ll be able to easily create a widget both on mobile and web!

The goal of this tutorial is to create a translator widget based on Google translation API, and make it available on Webwag Mobile and Webwag.com. Step by step, you will learn how to create the widget structure, develop and deploy the widget. No particular development skills are needed. And if you want to go further or ask questions, don’t forget, the Developers’ corner on Webwag forum is here for you.

Webwag is proud to announce the availability of the Webwag forum, both for users and developers!
Users will be able to share experience, submit ideas and suggestions, and of course, get help when needed.

The “developers’ corner” is fully dedicated to widgets development, both on Webwag mobile and Webwag.com.
This will be the place for developers to ask for help, find resources to get started, co-operate…
And the best of all, no particular development skills are needed, neither on the web side nor on the mobile side, thanks to our tutorials, API documentation and Webwag’s standards-based approach.

The bookmarklet is another thing we are releasing for our Internet Explorer, Safari and Opera users (Firefox users have the extension but still can use the bookmarklet).

The bookmarklet will detect all available feeds on a page and allow you to easily subscribe to them by displaying them in a small overlay window.

We are releasing today two projects we’ve been working on in the past months. The goals have been to make Webwag even easier to use, more robust and fun! Webwag Mobile is available today on the iPhone, leveraging our mobile experience to make a product that is very close from the native iPhone user interface and that will load fastly over a GPRS connection.

The iPhone version of Webwag features a very complete set of functionalities while keeping the user experience simple:

• A very intuitive user interface for accessing all widgets, the iPhone way
• The complete webwag.com is available including tabs, account creation, widgets adding and removing…
• A fast loading page even with a lot of widgets

Webwag also releases an update to webwag.com, delivering several awaited features:

• An integrated feed reader: Users can now preview feeds including images at the first level and read the complete content within Webwag
• A new, easier content discovery with integrated search, 4 new graphical themes…

Of course Webwag.com remains synchronized with Webwag Mobile that is now available for download on more than 150 handsets! Webwag mobile is the first widgets engine to be fully synchronized with an advanced customizable start page.
